These are a nice quality. Any freshwater pearls that are not white, peachy or lavender are dyed. However, even the natural colors, have most likely been treated. After pre-treatment washing, most pearls undergo bleaching, dyeing, and a light polishing, and some types also receive luster enhancement. While many people view dyeing negatively, there’s little to no stigma associated with these routine pearl treatments. Pearls are a natural material, color and size will vary.
